If you need immediate help for a medical or mental health emergency or you are having thoughts of harming yourself, call 911 or go to the nearest medical facility.
If a child ages 6 to 21 in the District of Columbia is having a mental health emergency, you may call CHAMPS, the Child and Adolescent Mobile Psychiatric Service. The on-call, mobile emergency service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week by calling (202) 481-1450.

If an adult 18 and older in the District of Columbia is having a mental health emergency, you may call DC Department of Behavioral Health at (202) 673-9300. Mobile crisis services are available from 9 am to 1 am daily.
